Budapest Week Publishing has conducted an annual survey of its readers since 1993 regarding which of their favorite local restaurants, hotels and suppliers to the hospitality industry should be considered the best in the trade. On March 23, the winners were recognized at the 20th annual Best of Budapest & Hungary Gala event . The winners of the 61 categories and ten special awards were announced at a high profile ceremony, held in the grand ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel for the 13th consecutive year. The event was attended by some 600 prominent guests from leaders of the international business community, representatives of Hungary’s hospitality and service-industries, and members of the international diplomatic corps.
