2012 Summer Olympic Games
The Olympic Games is a major international event featuring summer and winter sports, in which thousands of athletes participate in a variety of competitions. The Olympic Games have come to be regarded as the world’s foremost sports competition where more than 200 nations participate.
The 2012 Summer Olympic Games, officially the Games of the XXX Olympiad, are scheduled to take place in London from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The programme features 26 sports and a total of 39 disciplines.
The 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games will use a mixture of new venues, existing and historic facilities, and temporary facilities. After the European Football Championships this is the second biggest venue and summer programme that you can also follow on the roof terrace TV at Opera Garden Hotel & Apartments.
